Fire Department
The Elk Township Fire Department consists of three fire companies and the Fire Prevention Bureau.
Dennis Conley is the Fire Official who handles inspections, permits and prevention and safety education programs.
The Fire Companies are located in three sections of Elk, which are Aura, Ferrell and Lawns. Each company elects a Chief and Officers for the year. These individuals coordinate their efforts with the Township Chief.
In addition to fire suppression, we also provide rescue and E.M.S. services including Emergency Medical Transport, vehicle extrication, search and rescue, marine and ice rescue.
All volunteers receive free training and insurance. Any one wishing to volunteer or receive any other information such a hall rentals and upcoming fund raisers, please click on the menu link for that station.
