The Zoning Administrative Officer handles the following for Elk Township:

Administer and enforce local ordinances

Represent the municipality in land use matters to county, regional, state or federal agencies as required

Reviews zoning permit applications

Investigates, performs on-site inspections and administers enforcement activities of violations of the township codes, specifically, land development and zoning

Confers with and advises the public, municipal officials and others in aspects of planning and zoning

Reviews development applications submitted to either the Planning Board or Zoning Board of Adjustment

Attends Planning Board and Zoning Board of Adjustment meetings and other meetings/seminars as required

Reviews the Township master plan, land development ordinances and other associated ordinances, policies and procedures and make recommendations to the Governing Body, Planning Board and Zoning Board of Adjustment
