SPECIAL ALERT

 

In the last several weeks, an increased number of residential burglaries have been reported to the Elk Township Police Department. A majority have occurred during late morning or early afternoon hours while residents are away from their homes. The actor(s) have forcibly entered through doors and windows of the residences.  The suspect(s) may be operating a white mid-size vehicle, (unknown make and model). The accused appears to be a white male in his mid to late 20’s.  The police department is advising residents not to leave your valuables unsecured.  Anyone who observes any type of suspious activity should do their best to get a license plate number, description of vehicle and description of any suspious people in the area and call 911 immediately.  Do not try and confront anyone that you may encounter.  If you have any questions please contact Detective Steven Wojciechowski @ 856-881-6688 ext.25.

2011 Tax Breakdown for Elk Township Residents


Your tax bill is enclosed with the newsletter. We felt it important to let you know where your taxdollars go after they are collected by the Township. As you can see from the chart, 52% of your tax
dollars go to support our schools. The County of Gloucester (which includes the County Library and County Open Space Tax) makes up 24% of your tax bill and Elk Township makes up the final 24%.
